SUS 304L excellent corrosion resistance

SUS 304L is a stainless steel material whose chemical composition mainly includes iron (Fe), chromium (Cr), nickel (Ni), manganese (Mn), silicon (Si), carbon (C) and a small amount of phosphorus (P) and Sulfur(S). Specifically, the chromium content in SUS 304L is usually between 18.00 and 20.00%, which helps improve the corrosion resistance and wear resistance of stainless steel. The nickel content is between 9.00% and 13.00%. The addition of nickel can enhance the corrosion resistance of stainless steel. The content of manganese generally does not exceed 2%, and the content of silicon does not exceed 1%. Both elements help to increase the strength and hardness of stainless steel. In addition, the carbon content is controlled below 0.030% to maintain the good weldability of stainless steel.
