S235JR steel is a non-alloy structural steel under the European standard (EN 10025-2), which is equivalent to Q235B in the Chinese national standard. It is a kind of carbon structural steel with low carbon content, widely used in construction, Bridges, ships, vehicle structural parts and other fields.

Silicon (Si) : Maximum content 0.35%
Manganese (Mn) : Maximum content 0.65%
Phosphorus (P) : Maximum content 0.030%
Sulfur (S) : Maximum content 0.030%
S235JR steel features
Mechanical properties: S235JR steel has good mechanical properties, including tensile strength, yield strength and elongation. Its yield strength reaches or exceeds 225MPa, its tensile strength is between 360 and 510MPa, and it has good elongation performance (≥18%).
Processing properties: S235JR steel is easy to weld, bolt and riveted, easy to manufacture and process.
Surface quality: S235JR steel is divided into ordinary grade surface (FA) and higher grade surface (FB) pickling surface. Ordinary grade surface is allowed to have a depth (or height) not more than half of the thickness tolerance of the steel plate pitting, concave, scratches and other minor, local defects; Higher surfaces are allowed to have local defects that do not affect formability, such as minor scratches, minor indentations, etc.
S235JR steel is mainly used in the following fields:
