API 5L X52 (corresponding to ISO standard L360) is a medium strength pipeline steel, in line with the American Petroleum Institute (API 5L) standard, widely used in oil, natural gas and other high-pressure pipelines. The "X52" in its name represents a minimum yield strength of 52 ksi (about 360 MPa), which is one of the commonly used grades in the API 5L standard.
