Henan BEBON international co.,ltd located in zhengzhou ,henan province of china. Since it was established in 2008, Henan BEBON has earned an outstanding reputation for its professional exporting shipbuilding steel.About the products,we mainly specialized in steel products for shipbuilding which have been approved by some authoritative classification societies, likeLR,BV,ABS,DNV,GL and so on . Besides, we have three big warehouses--Zhengzhou,Tianjin and shanghai.
SS400 is a carbon structural steel under the Japanese JIS standard, classified as low-carbon steel. It is well known for its excellent weldability, good ductility, and machinability, making it a widely used structural steel in Japan and across Asian markets. With stable performance and broad applicability, SS400 is extensively applied in construction, machinery, and shipbuilding.
In terms of composition, SS400 is primarily made of iron with small amounts of carbon, manganese, silicon, and strictly controlled sulfur and phosphorus. The carbon content is usually below 0.25%, ensuring good plasticity and weldability. Manganese improves strength and toughness, while low sulfur and phosphorus levels prevent brittleness. This composition enables SS400 to achieve a balance between moderate strength and excellent processability.
SS400 is widely used in construction for steel structures and bridges, in shipbuilding for decks and hull components, and in machinery manufacturing for general structural parts and support components. Thanks to its cost-effectiveness and stable overall performance, SS400 has become one of the most common steels in Asian and international engineering projects.
